Could this be the off-season that the Florida Marlins trade Miguel Cabrera?
Miguel Cabrera is going to make a killing in arbitration this season based on his performance from last season. With that in mind combined with owner Jeff Loria’s cheapness Cabrera could be on the move this off-season and that would be a shame for the few hundred Marlins fans that actually attend games in Miami. Losing Cabrera would be a major blow to the Marlins no matter what they got back in return. Cabrera has played in 720 games for the Marlins in his career and he’s 842 for 2,694 (.313 avg, .930 OPS) with 449 runs scored, 138 homers and 523 RBIs. And if the Marlins happened to move him to a small stadium he might start putting up even more impressive numbers as Dolphins’ Stadium is a pitcher’s park which makes his numbers even more impressive.
